Program: Future Global Citizenship Leaders: Addressing Pacific Rim Challenges of the Undergraduate Leader's Program (ULP) of the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU).

It was a deeply enriching experience, reaffirming that big global challenges —such as democracy, equity or peace— require collaboration, dialogue, and empathy. In the program, I understood that leadership is not only based on ideas or knowledge, but on building relationships with those who, in the future, will also be called to transform the world.

I come back motivated to continue creating cooperation spaces that have an impact on the community, with the conviction that the bridges you build are to be crossed.

Program: Future Global Citizenship Leaders: Addressing Pacific Rim Challenges of the Undergraduate Leader's Program (ULP) of the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU).

Participating in the ULP was a great opportunity to understand Chile’s diplomatic, economic and organizational structure in the context of Asia Pacific cooperation. We visited key institutions such as the Academia Diplomática Andrés Bello (Andrés Bello Diplomatic Academy), the Central Bank and ECLAC, spaces where we discussed sustainable development, global governance and innovation.

The program allowed us to work on challenges shared by Pacific Rim countries and strengthen a global commitment as future leaders. It was an honor for me, Camila and Alonso to represent UdeC, take on leadership and cross-cultural articulation roles, and proudly project our University’s name on a high-level international stage.

Program: Future Global Citizenship Leaders: Addressing Pacific Rim Challenges of the Undergraduate Leader's Program (ULP) of the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU).

As a Psychology student, being one of the few social science representatives in the program was very relevant, as I was able to bring a more humane, empathetic and social approach to the issues discussed. I am proud to have led the winning team of the final Ideathon organized by the Melton Foundation, where we addressed the loss of employment due to the advancement of artificial intelligence, proposing solutions focused on working people. I am excited to see how socially oriented ideas can move forward through collaboration and engagement.
