TESTIMONIAL

My mobility experience

Fernanda

Fernanda Riquelme Fuentes

Mining Civil Engineering student
Universidad de Huelva, Spain

Ever since I was a child, I dreamed of studying abroad and thanks to Universidad de Concepción I had the opportunity to do it in Spain. During my stay, I learned new approaches to mining, visited places I never imagined I would, and discovered personal skills I didn’t know about. This experience not only strengthened my academic training but also motivated me to continue growing as a professional.

Constanza

Constanza Cecilia Álvarez Ponce

Public Administration and Political Science student
Pontificia Universidad Católica de Perú

Going on a student exchange was a wish that accompanied me throughout my studies in Universidad de Concepción. Thanks to this opportunity, I had an experience that transformed me both personally and professionally, preparing me for the future. In addition, I was able to learn about cultures and social systems other than my reality, which I consider fundamental in my field of study.

It was certainly one of the best experiences, both academically and socially, thanks to the people and teachers I met.

Thanks to University of Concepción and the Pacific Alliance Scholarship. I had a wonderful exchange experience in Peru. I was able to visit beautiful places and enjoy a fascinating curlture. My classmates were friendly and welcoming, making my stay even more special. I learned a lot, both academically and personally, all with the peace of mind of a scholarship that covered 100% of the expenses.

Frequently Asked questions

How to Choose the Destination?

It is important that you bear in mind your personal interests, your language competence and the academic offer by the destination you are considering. In addition, we advise you to discuss your academic project with your Head of Program, and to have their support for the validation of the courses taken abroad.

Can I go on exchange at any University?

It is best (but not compulsory) to go on exchange with those partner universities with which there is a cooperation agreement that facilitates the exchange and that releases the international tuition fee.

UdeC has more than 400 agreements available to promote International Mobility.

What about my UdeC Fee, my scholarship or my free of charge education? Do I lose it?

In order to make your exchange effective, you must keep your regular student status, that is, continue paying your fee at UdeC.

Do I need to self-fund my Mobility?

All expenses associated with mobility must be borne by the students, except those who are granted some type of Scholarship or are enrolled in a Special Program.

How do I validate the subjects I took during my exchange period?

Once the exchange period is over, you must validate the subjects with the Head of Program or Academic Secretary of your faculty who, by means of a letter, commit themselves to acknowledge your studies abroad. We recommend that you obtain a study agreement prior to the exchange period.

Do I need health insurance to go on exchange?

Yes, you do. Health insurance is mandatory. This can be obtained from the respective travel agencies, or it may be the insurance required by the host university.
